Lets Start Again Shall We?

My life was spiraling out of control.

Recently my parents moved to a warmer climate.
A month ago I lost my job as an admin assistant in a building company due to staff cuts with the recession. And a fortnight ago, my partner of 2 years just up and left.... Id lost it all; my life, my confidence, any ounce of self worth.

So after a week of feeling down, you know ice cream out of the tub, bawling over Bridget Jones, tracksuits and tissues, heart fully serenading my cat with "All by my self..." (you get the idea) I decided it was enough. Time to pick this train wreck up, find a new job and move on with life.

I found an nice old lady with a granny flat she was willing to rent me for $150pw and started the job hunt.

Yesterday I started my new job, its a swanky club called 'Slime'. I work on the bar, the hours are terrible, but hey its a job.

Around 1am a woman walked in, terrifyingly beautiful, and strikingly classical, her long black hair swept up like something out of Breakfast at Tiffany's, her eyes piercing the scene around her, her lips blood red and almost glistening in the low lighting of the bar. As she walked past me I noticed a beautiful necklace clasped around her strong, slender, pale neck. It was clearly old, and worth a fortune, but yet, of the trend these days; black lace, strewn with gems and a cameo on the front. She sat at a table in the corner and seemed to breathe in the air, her chest swelled as if she was smelling an amazing scent and as her breast slowly began to fall and her corset loosen slightly our eyes met, for a second. In that second I felt as if she had glimpsed my soul, knew everything about me that I knew about myself, and then some.

My workmate Jo startled me back to existence "Stop staring" I must have just replied with a quizzical look "She'll want something red", Huh? But before I could ask Jo what she meant she had mixed up some sort of red cocktail and was handing it to me. "Well, take it to her". The strange thing was, when I got to the mysterious ladies table in the corner, she was gone.

When I talked to Jo later she had no information about the mysterious lady, except that she was a regular, liked red cocktails and that everyone at the bar is terrified of her. Something about her being very powerful or something... Oh God, I hope I didn't piss her off. I really don't want to have to find another new job.
